 Rama’s Bridge

Ravana traveled to India via his airborne chariot and took Sita to his abode on the island of Lanka. A bridge was built to connect the two countries. Parts of it remain visible from Mannar Island in the north of Sri Lanka to Pamban Island in India’s south.

King Ravana hid Sita behind a cave close to the Ravana Falls, where a network of subterranean tunnels connected the cave with the outside world. Its entrance lies at Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary. 5 km from the waterfall. Ravana Cave is one of the finest places to visit in Ella.
